The European Parliament has fought off platform industry attempts to weaken a proposed law giving their workers decent rights. A vote last week in favour of keeping a strong presumption of employment in the Platform Work Directive by the European Parliament’s Employment and Social Affairs Committee has been whole-heartedly welcomed by the International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF).
